Stage Local Prep is the educational arm of Stage Local, offering year-round classes, training, and specialized programming for students of all ages. Stage Local Prep is designed to be a place where young artists grow in confidence, creativity, and skill—both on and off the stage.
Whether your student is stepping on stage for the first time or ready for deeper artistic growth, there is a place for them here.

Stage Local Prep bridges the gap between recreational arts education and elite conservatory training. At Stage Local Prep, we believe the performing arts do more than teach students how to sing, dance, or act.

Our Core Training Pillars
Every Stage Local Prep class is built on three foundational pillars of performer training.
Performance
Students develop acting technique, storytelling, stage presence, and character work.
Musicality
Students build rhythm, pitch, music literacy, harmony, and vocal understanding.
Movement
Students develop coordination, body awareness, choreography retention, and physical storytelling.

At Stage Local Prep, our programming is thoughtfully designed around age, readiness, and our three core areas of training: performance, musicality, and movement.

For our youngest performers, classes focus on imagination, creative play, music, and movement. Class is 45 minutes long and meets once per week.

Junior Prep students build strong foundations in acting, singing, movement, and storytelling in a joyful, engaging environment. Classes are 45 minutes long and meet once per week.

Musical Theatre Foundations (Ages 5-8) - Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

Because creativity doesn’t end at graduation.
Current Offerings:
The Curtain Call Collective -A welcoming, community-centered musical theatre workshop style class for adults.
Each week features rotating themes including ensemble singing, choreography, cabaret-style performance, audition technique, musical theatre history, group numbers, and collaborative storytelling.
Designed for adults who love theatre and miss the magic of creating together — without the pressure of a full-scale production.
