Stage Local Prep -Spring 2026

  • Core Classes

    Our Core Classes build essential skills in acting, voice, and movement through age-appropriate lessons designed to spark creativity and confidence. Students explore storytelling, ensemble work, and technique in a supportive, joyful environment—laying the groundwork for success onstage and beyond.

  • Performance Labs

    Performance Labs give students the chance to apply what they’ve learned in a focused, project-based setting. Each lab culminates in an in-class showcase or staged performance, offering hands-on experience with character work, choreography, collaboration, and stage presence

  • Workshops & Specialized Classes (Teens & Adults)

    Our workshops and specialty classes offer teens and adults concentrated training in areas like audition prep, choreography, improv, fitness, costuming and makeup and vocal performance. These short-term intensives are perfect for sharpening skills, exploring new techniques, or leveling up before a big audition or production.

  • Private Lessons

    Private lessons in storytelling through song and audition coaching provide one-on-one attention tailored to each student’s goals. Whether preparing for a role, building technique, or pursuing college auditions, our instructors create individualized plans to help performers grow with confidence and clarity. **Limited availability

Class Descriptions

  • Where Imagination takes center stage! Stage Local's Broadway Babies class is designed to be a joyful introduction to the performing arts for preschoolers! Students explore storytelling through music, movement and pretend play in a nurturing, high-energy environment!

    This core class does not have a performance lab, but will have an optional recital performance at the end of each semester.

  • Discover your inner star with Stage Local's Broadway Bound class for students ages Kindergarten-2nd grade! This class introduces young performers to the magic of musical theatre while developing foundational singing, acting and dance skills in a fun, encouraging setting.

  • Step into the Spotlight! A bridge between beginner and intermediate training, this class deepens performance skills and introduces script work, harmony singing, and more detailed choreography.

  • Train like a pro with Stage Local's "Center Stage Class" exclusively for middle school students! In this class, students in 6th-8th grade will learn how to train like a pro and perform like a star. This course is a pre-professional level course for students ready to sharpen their craft and tackle more challenging material. Students will strengthen technique, artistry and confidence as performers!

  • A dynamic, skill-building theatre class designed specifically for homeschool students.

    Our Homeschool Theatre Arts course introduces students in grades 4–8 to the foundations of acting, storytelling, and performance in a supportive, academic, and creatively energizing environment. Modeled after our Theatre I curriculum, this class blends technique, hands-on activity, and collaborative learning to help students grow in confidence, communication, and artistic expression.

    Students will explore:

    • Acting fundamentals: character, objective, and scene work

    • Vocal projection, articulation, and expressive storytelling

    • Movement for the stage and ensemble collaboration

    • Script reading and analysis

    • Improvisation, creativity games, and performance exercises

    Throughout the semester, students discover what it means to be part of an ensemble as they build skills that strengthen public speaking, teamwork, problem-solving, and imagination.

    The class culminates in a small in-class performance or showcase highlighting the growth and artistry developed during the term.

    Perfect for homeschool families seeking a structured, enriching performing arts experience that supports academic and personal development.

Private Lessons:

Storytelling Through Song with Ms. Elizabeth

These individualized lessons help students strengthen their vocal technique and learn how to connect emotionally to their music. Each session focuses on vocal prep, acting through song, audition readiness, repertoire guidance, and performance confidence.

Perfect for young performers looking to elevate their musical theatre skills with personalized coaching.

Ages 10 +. Bi-weekly appointments available.
